The Council, the Calderdale Clinical Commissioning Group and other partners are working to improve children and young people’s emotional wellbeing.
In Calderdale, when we talk about emotional wellbeing, we usually include:
- Emotional wellbeing
- Psychological wellbeing
- Social wellbeing
The aim is to improve the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people by making sure they have support from their parents and carers.
This scheme will give one-off cash grants to organisations working with or for parents, including public sector agencies, schools and voluntary organisations. This money will be used to strengthen or start up any projects that support parents and carers in a way that helps their children’s emotional wellbeing.
Any public sector, schools or voluntary organisation can apply for anything from £5,000 to £20,000 and a Grants Panel made up of people from the Council and from the Emotional Wellbeing Taskforce, which includes representatives from health, schools and other partners will decide who gets a grant.
If you are interested in applying for one of these grants, please read the supporting documents below for further information and complete the application form before returning it to: Naomi Whenham at Naomi.firstname.lastname@example.org
