XenZone was founded in 2001 to make it easy and safe for all generations to access the best mental health and emotional well-being services as and when they need them.
They use technology to remove the barriers hindering children, young people and adults from seeking mental health support. Technology helps to increase access and removes the stigma associated with reaching out for help. They work closely with the NHS, CCGs, local authorities and other health and social well-being organisations to deliver an innovative approach to mental health delivery.
They are pioneers of online counselling and emotional well-being support. In 2004, they founded Kooth, the first online counselling and therapy service for children and young people in the UK.
Following on from Kooth’s success they launched an online counselling and well-being platform for adults, Qwell.
Digital is at the heart of all they do, underpinned by their deep-rooted philosophy of co-production and joining-up with traditional services.
While digital increases accessibility, is native to many young people and convenient for all, there are times when face-to-face is more appropriate. They work with stakeholders, commissioners and partners to develop an integrated approach, taking the benefits of digital and coupling them with face-to-face services.
