Held on the weekend of 19 – 20 August 2017 the Brighouse Summer Festival is a great weekend of family entertainment. There will be over 70 stalls of locally produced foods and crafts, loads of street foods, free canal boat rides, live music, real ale and much more……

Over 70 speciality, locally produced, food, drink and craft stalls will take up residence over the weekend, right across Brighouse Town Centre. From artisan breads and craft cheeses to fresh fruit and vegetables and sock monkeys to soap and with unique street food you’ll be spoilt for choice. You’ll need to spend the weekend in town just to experience everything, in fact there’s so much choice you’ll need to bring plenty of bags, or a strong friend, to carry all your goodies home with you afterwards!

With great live music, real ale and family friendly entertainment completing the picture, you’ll never want to leave.

For everyone who is visiting the Brighouse Canal and Music festival, canal rides are free for all! All ages are welcome, simply visit the Brighouse Canal, behind Brighouse Sainsbury’s, between 10am-5pm Saturday and Sunday to check availability. (Sainsbury’s, Mill Lane, Brighouse, HD6 1PQ)

Volunteers from the Calder Navigation Society and Safe Anchor Trust will be on hand to organise the running of the canal rides, so please say hello! If you don’t get chance to ride, our largest ever selection of longboats will be moored up in the Brighouse Canal basin, along with lot’s of wonderful flower displays, so have a walk and take it all in. Plus, see the locks in action as boats arrive.

Further information can be found on the website where there is also a contact page if you need it.
