Charity Jigsaw Festival at St. Martin’s

Posted on Updated on

The first Brighouse Charity Jigsaw Festival was held in 2012. Since then some 3,000 people have visited the Festivals and purchased over 2,750 jigsaws, some making round trips of over 100 miles. The Festival is a topic of conversation around the town for weeks afterwards and is now an established annual event in the local calendar with 2017 bringing the sixth annual Festival.

There will be over 1,200 made-up and boxed jigsaws, including:

  • children’s puzzles;
  • traditional scenes;
  • double-sided;
  • murder mystery;
  • crossword;
  • impossipuzzles;
  • mirror image;
  • wasgij;
  • XL pieces; and
  • 3D.

Approximately 200 assembled and upto 200 boxed jigsaws will be displayed at any one time. As soon as an assembled puzzle is sold, another will replace it.

Admission to the Festival is £2 for adults with accompanied children free. The entry programme includes £1 voucher towards the purchase of a jigsaw at the Festival. It has to be seen to be believed!

There will also be:

  • a golden jigsaw competition paying cash prizes;
  • tombola;
  • a luxury raffle; and
  • craft stalls.

Delicious food will be available: morning coffee, Yorkshire breakfast, lunch and traditional afternoon teas.
