Posted on Updated on

On 3 October 10:00 -13:00 at the VAC offices in Halifax there will be Alcohol Brief Intervention Training delivered by the Better Living Team, Calderdale Council.

Alcohol brief intervention training will give staff/volunteers the skills on how to approach having a conversation about alcohol use, how to briefly assess alcohol use and how and when to sign post clients to other support services.

The training consists of a 2 hour workshop that outlines the issues around alcohol in UK and Calderdale and giving staff the tools on how to deliver a brief intervention on people who have been identified as moderate to high level drinkers and how to facilitate a conversation to encourage reducing alcohol consumption.
