Brighouse Victorian Christmas Festival

Posted on Updated on

Opening on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 November The Brighouse Victorian Christmas Festival & Market recreates a Dickensian Christmas, with a huge street market full of Christmas gifts, shops decorated in Victorian style and staff dressed in period costume.

Street entertainers, choirs, brass bands, parades, street food and a funfair will entertain you as you shop. Watch out for Santa parading in his horse drawn carriage. Try the wonderful street food, enjoy a glass of mulled wine and take the kids to Santa’s grotto or the funfair.

There will be entertainment throughout both days with Christmas Carols being sung by local school choirs, fairground organ, mulled wine, roast chestnuts and street entertainers.

On Saturday, the market is open between 10am to 5pm with the town’s Christmas lights being switched on by Father Christmas in his horse drawn sleigh at 4pm. The market re-opens at 10am on Sunday and runs through until 4pm.
