British Science Week at Eureka! Children’s Museum

Eureka! will be holding extra events during British Science Week – 9 March – 18 March.

Visit the pop-up Virtual Reality Zone
Drop-in to Imagination Space and meet clever bods from the University of Leeds. They will be here from 9 – 18 March with a 360 degree virtual reality experience to try out. This award-winning tech has been created especially for children by scientists and game developers. Find out more about the VR experience here.

Find out more about DNA and Genomics
Head to the ‘All About Me’ gallery for extra hands-on activities. Eureka! has teamed up with the NHS’ Yorkshire and Humber Genomics Medicine Centre to offer interactive activities about how DNA and genomics will change the world of medicine.

See the NEW hands-on science show
On the weekends 10-11 March and 17-18 March, there will be a brand new show – The Secret World of Gases – featuring the coolest gas of them all; LIQUID NITROGEN. This interactive show has been developed with help from The Royal Society of Chemistry and BOC (the UK’s biggest industrial and medical gases company).
