Hosted by Elland Round Table there will be an evening of stand up comedy on Saturday 14 April, 7:00pm-11:15pm at Elland Cricket Club, Hullenedge Road.
Tom Wrigglesworth is an established Stand-Up comedian, Radio and TV presenter and voice-over artist from Sheffield, England.
With a disarmingly charming delivery and unforgettable appearance, this Yorkshire funny man became a national have-a-go-hero when he rescued a little old lady from the jaws of a Virgin train ticket inspector; only to be arrested for begging. His subsequent story of the event secured Tom several awards including the Chortle Best Show Award, and a nomination for the main Edinburgh Comedy Award.
This led to a sell out tour of the UK, and runs at the New Zealand Comedy Festival and prestigious Montreal Comedy Festival.
Justin Moorhouse is a Manchester born and bred comedian, presenter and actor. He’s taken several comedy shows to the Edinburgh Fringe, toured the UK with his stand up, been nominated for his theatre acting, appeared in films and won Celebrity Mastermind. In February 2015 Justin performed to over 200 000 people in a 15 night stage version of Channel 4’s Phoenix Nights. The critically acclaimed show at the Manchester Arena raised £5 million for Comic Relief.
Lost Voice Guy – Lee Ridley AKA Lost Voice Guy can’t talk but isn’t silent. He is (probably) the first stand up comedian to use a communication aid.
Since making his first stand up performance in February 2012, Ridley has already gained quite a reputation for being both very funny and very unique. He has been described as “a wonderful comedian” by Little Britain’s Matt Lucas and has warmed up for the likes of Ross Noble, Patrick Kielty, Jason Manford and Jason Cook.
The MC for the Evening will be talented Roger Monkhouse.
