Calderdale Heritage Walks: Outlaws and Nuns

Over the weekend of Saturday 23, Sunday 24 June by kind permission of the owners, Margaret and David Nortcliffe will be guides on a 1½ mile walk around the private Kirklees Estate at Clifton.

The estate includes the former Nunnery site, Gate House, 15th to 18th Century farm buildings and ‘Robin Hood’s Grave’.

The walk is partly on woodland paths and strong shoes are advised.


It will not be possible to just turn up on the day.

Please specify the day and morning or afternoon preferences. Details and directions are sent out with the tickets. Please note that there are no buses to the estate on Sundays.

The charge for this walk is £5.00. Cheques payable to ‘Calderdale MBC’.
