On Thursday 1 November 2018, 10:30am–2:30pm Calderdale Safeguarding Children Board is holding a Community Engagement Event at Orange Box, Halifax.

The event is being organised by the Young Advisors in conjunction with representatives from the statutory partners, schools and the voluntary sector and is aimed at children and young people aged 9-17.

This consultation event will provide opportunities for participants to shape the development of the new Calderdale Safeguarding Partnership, to say what is important to them in relation to promoting the safety and well-being of children and young people in Calderdale and therefore to influence its future work.

The event will be in form of an indoor festival. Entry will be by ticket only in exchange for a wrist band that will allow access to all aspects of the event, involving music, performers, information stalls, games, and freebies etc. It will also include FREE refreshments.

The event is open to any children/youth groups in Calderdale including, uniformed and faith groups, out of school clubs, youth groups etc. The event is also open to Parents/Carers Practitioners and Managers from all agencies including statutory partners, voluntary and community sector and schools. This event aims to be as inclusive as possible. The building is fully accessible.
