Christmas at Eureka! Children’s Museum

Posted on Updated on

Eureka! children’s museum has been preparing for Christmas with a number of events coming up.

The Eureka! elves have been beavering away to get the museum more Christmassy than ever before, and the big guy in red himself arrived this weekend, ready to meet children in the snuggly grotto!

The Eureka! grotto has been named one of the UK’s best places to see Santa by NetMums, for three years running.

Elves open the doors from 11:00am every weekend, and then daily from Wednesday 19 December. Grotto visits cost just £4 per child, and include a small gift!

Autism-only sessions
The grotto is opened an hour earlier at 10:00am just for visitors with autism, and the Eureka! team can do all kinds of things to tailor your visit, such as changing the lighting and music, or even removing Santa’s beard (he’s magic, so it doesn’t hurt).

Festive Toddler Days
The next Toddler Days will be on Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 December, when the museum is open the museum JUST for our youngest visitors.

There are no school bookings for either day but there will be grotto visits with Santa, extra early years activities, plus a brand new festive show ‘A Place for Winter’ all about a hedgehog and dormouse trying to find somewhere safe and warm to hibernate.
