Keep Up-to-Date with West Yorkshire Police Community Alerts

West Yorkshire Police Community Alert is a service that members of the public are invited to sign up to free of charge. Once signed up members can decide on the type of alerts and news that they wish to receive.

WYP staff and officers will then post local alerts, that can range from crime prevention advice, emergency appeals and crime information.

The system allows us to target individual groups, for example to alert people who live within 100 meters of a burglary.

WYP see this as a valuable engagement tool to further improve the way information is shared in the local community. It only takes seconds to sign up at www.wypcommunityalert.co.uk.
