On Saturday 5th July, the NHS celebrates its 72nd birthday. To celebrate everyone is asked to join for the biggest clapping event ever at 5pm.
Ian Berry’s clapping hand animation
The Piece Hall is joining in the celebration with a collaboration with artist Ian Berry and Halo Vue of Halifax. They will release a short film featuring, among others the hand clapping animation by Ian Berry, special works by guest artists and images which reflect on the NHS in Calderdale. This film will also feature works and messages sent by the people of Halifax and Calderdale.
During the Coronavirus outbreak, we have more than ever witnessed the ongoing, tireless presence of the NHS in our lives. This celebration will serve to express the nation’s gratitude for all that they have done.
