Do Your Own Thing – FREE Self-Employment Programme Dates Announced
The aim of the programme is to support women to set up their own business. The first cohort start date is 1st October, with a second cohort starting on 13th October.

Create A Coronavirus NHS QR Code for Your Venue
Use this service to create a QR code for display in your venue. Get visitors to scan the QR code when they arrive, using the NHS COVID-19 app. This is to help trace and stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

NCVO have launched a new free health check to help you improve the volunteer experience at your organisation, ensuring they are involved in delivering your mission in the best way possible.

The Knock-On Effect of Panic Buying – A Plea from The Voluntary Sector
In response to the announcement made by Boris Johnson on Tuesday 22nd, supermarkets across the country have seen an increase in panic buying.  Voluntary and Community Sector organisations across Calderdale share their experiences of the impact panic buying in March had for them and their vulnerable service users.

Safer Communities Fund Opens for Applications – Deadline: 6th October
The latest grant round of my Safer Communities Fund (SCF) has opened for applications this week. This time a pot of £140,000 is available for voluntary, community groups, charities and partner organisations to bid for grants of up to £6,000 to help keep their communities safe and feeling safe.

The Common Call fund provides grants between £1,000-£3,000 to organisations led by people that identify as Black or Mixed with Black.

The Fat Beehive Foundation
The Fat Beehive Foundation is an independent UK registered charity that provides small grants for websites and digital products to other small UK registered charities.

The Foyle Foundation Main Grants for Arts
The Foyle Foundation seeks applications that make a strong artistic case for support in either the performing or visual arts.
