COVID guidelines after July 19

Posted on Updated on

Since Monday the 19th of July, most restrictions have been lifted, making the previously mandatory guidelines of social distancing and face coverings a voluntary measure.

We are encouraged to adhere to these rules at our own discretion.

Be aware that several places will still insist on maintaining such guidelines.

Many GPs, public transport and closed spaces will still require you to observe these measures.

Please be considerate to others and do not endanger their health for the sake of giving up a rule.

As always, if you have been contacted and advised you need to quarantine and self isolate, you must observe this.

If you suspect you may have contracted COVID, get tested as soon as possible.

There are many options to be tested. Many workplaces require regular Lateral Flow tests. These tests are offered free of charge and it is recommended to be tested twice a week.

Infection rates are still high, especially in Calderdale.

Even if you are fully vaccinated, you may still become infected, you should however have much milder symptoms. You can still carry the virus, even if you are asymptomatic.
