Coronavirus Update December 2021: New restrictions and booster vaccines

ourselves and others from the new COVID-19 variant Omicron.

Key messages
- We must all wear a face mask in shops and on public
transport, unless exempt.
Face Coverings Guidance (Gov.UK) - Travel rules have changed for those coming into the UK.
Updated travelling abroad guidelines (Gov.UK) - You must self-isolate if you are in contact with someone
who has the new variant.
From December 2nd the NHS will roll out the booster vaccine for those who have had their second dose over 3 months ago.
The aim is to have all adults vaccinated by the end of January 2022.
The NHS will contact you when it is your turn to book an appointment. You can keep an eye out for drop-in clinics where you don’t need to book an appointment.
