Covid vaccinations and booster jabs available Book now

Since the announcement this week, it means 96% of those who had a 2nd dose Covid Vaccination are now eligible for their booster. This means we have approx. 95, 000 boosters to administer in Calderdale, before 31st January. I am sure you will be aware we are not yet operational for boosters for those under 40, unless they are in (cohort 6), have an underlying health condition. There are currently communication messages being rolled out to the public on managing these expectations, which I understand you have had: –

  • The NHS is getting ready to offer more people a COVID-19 booster.
  • The NHS is prioritising those most at risk.
  • The NHS will let you know you when it’s your turn to get your booster and will tell you how you can get it.
  • If you already have an appointment booked please keep it.

Given the announcement and that there was not one appointment on the National Booking System before Christmas in Calderdale yesterday, I am sure this will help to ensure everyone eligible can obtain their vaccine, including those that still need their primary course of Covid Vaccinations.

The site is located at Richmond St, Halifax HX1 5SX. This is near the police station, where Pellon Lane meets Burdock way.

There is a local booking link on the flyer www.tinyurl.com/nhshalifax we would encourage people to use, however the site will be taking walk-ins, subject to availability. The site will continue to add appointments according to demand so please encourage people to keep revisiting the website.
