Queen Elizabeth II – 21st April 1926 – September 8th 2022
It is with great sadness that we share the news that on Thursday the 8th of September 2022, Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor, Queen Elizabeth II has died at Balmoral Castle, surrounded by her family.
Queen Elizabeth II has been the longest reigning monarch of the United Kingdom, having celebrated her 70 years Platinum Jubilee in June 2022.
As a whole, we understandably feel a profound sense of loss and unease. The Queen has been one of the constants of the nation for the best part of a century. Her departure, only two days after she appointed our new prime minister Liz Truss, signify many changes to come in our lives.
At a time like this, it is also natural that thoughts of grief and loss may come about.
As always, there is help and support available. We will, one step at a time get through this too.
Words fail to express the feelings that this event evokes. Yet life need go on.
The Queen is Dead
Long Live the King
