Volunteer Recruitment Fair at St Augustine’s Centre
In need of volunteers? Consider booking a stall at an upcoming volunteer recruitment fair where the target audience is clients of St Augustine’s.
Monday 6 June 2016 – 10am to 1pm
At St Augustines Centre, Hanson Lane, Halifax, HX1 5PG
If you feel you have suitable volunteer opportunities for individuals or groups of people from a variety of backgrounds, you are welcome to book a stall at this event.
To book, please email steveb@nbforum.org.uk confirming the name of your organisation; what opportunities you are seeking to fill and how many staff will be attending. Light refreshments will be provided.
Dementia Awareness Week (15 -21 May)
Calderdale and Kirklees Alzheimer’s Society have a Dementia Roadshow Bus at Sowerby Bridge Market on Friday 13 May and more on the following dates’
- Tuesday 17 May – Wellington Arcade, Brighouse – 12 to 1pm
- Wednesday 18 May – Woolshops, Halifax – 11am to 1pm
- Thursday 19 May – Todmorden Flea Market – 10am to 12pm
- Friday 20 May – Hebden Bridge Town Hall – 10.30am to 12.30pm
During Dementia Awareness Week there will be events throughout Calderdale where you can ask any questions you have about Dementia and join in for a song if the mood takes you.
With memory trees at each event you are invited to write a message confronting dementia to hang on a tree.
Car Boot Sale at Lightcliffe Primary School
Take a look round over 60 stalls and enjoy some light refreshments this weekend.

CREW Led Health Walks – Spring 2016
Throughout May and June, CREW Heart Support Group will be running led health walks that everyone can join.
Long and short walks to suit all those who want to get involved and there’s no need to book, just turn up on the day and time of any walk.
