Have your say on how the Council spends its budget

budget consultation logoCalderdale Council is currently looking at the best ways in which to allocate the budget for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 financial year and would like you to get involved to help make these decisions by finding out what the council does, balancing their budget and expressing your views.

The results of this consultation will be published prior to the budget being decided in November… Click here for further information on the Council’s budget and how and where the money is spent.

Get involved

Have your say by taking a short survey and playing the councils budget simulator to register your priorities for spending whilst trying to maintain a balanced budget.

The results of this consultation will be published prior to the budget being decided in November and taken into consideration when the budget is officially assigned next year by Calderdale’s councillors.

This simulator helps to illustrate how Calderdale’s budget is currently allocated, and how changing the budget could affect the lives of people in Calderdale.

Calderdale Council would like you to use it to tell them how you would allocate Calderdale’s money, and which services are most important to you.

Alternatively the consultation is available in paper format here and once complete it can be returned by email to YourCouncilYourVoice@calderdale.gov.uk or by post to Westgate House, Halifax, HX1 1PS

To find out more or to see how you can get involved email yourbudget@calderdale.gov.uk

The closing date for survey responses is Saturday 31 October 2015 so get involved and help shape the future of Calderdale today!
