Calderdale Adult Learning will be based at their new venue at Heath, Free School Lane, Halifax from September 2015 and are offering lots of fantastic courses, many with 20% off for the first year!

Whether you want to learn a new skill, start a new hobby, or gain a qualification (such as GCSE English or Maths), there is a huge range of courses on offer with something for everyone.

Your waste and recycling collections will be one day later than usual during August Bank week – 31 August – 5 September.

All collections should be back to the usual scheduled day by Monday 7 September.

We are madly working away to bring you some fantastic fun and laughter and will announce our line up in due course, we can tell you that there will be open mike nights, evenings of comedy entertainers, workshops and much more.

Heritage Open Days at St Mary’s Church, Elland

Go along and see the beautiful, historic mother church of Elland which has served the people of the community for over 800 years.

All Saints’ Church – Heritage Open Day

All Saints’ Church will be open to show off its hidden architectural treasures to local Heritage Open Day Logoresidents and visitors free of charge with light refreshments available.

The Church is a Grade 2 listed building designed by George H Fellows-Prynne around 1900. It is early English in detail, but Edwardian in its massive scale and described as one of the finest churches built in the 20th century.
