30 people attended the inaugural meeting of the group held in the tech-block of the old Ridings School, now Threeways Centre.
Here is where the local men are planning to get together to pursue hobbies and interests.
“A shed provides a community space for men to socialise together whilst working shoulder to shoulder. This is how many men communicate” Eddie Moss, a founder member of the group
A member based organisation there are now seven men on a steering committee who will be responsible for shaping development of the project over the coming months.
Rob Clegg, member of the committee said,
“Although our shed is mainly for men of retirement age or older, or in ill heath, it is not limited to these groups; younger men and women will also be welcome”
