You could earn money for your community by becoming an Engagement Champion. You could reach out to people in your community that may not otherwise get to have a say. If you enjoy talking to people and getting involved this could be for you.
The NHS wants to talk to people about its plans for local health services. There is FREE training for local people to become Engagement Champions and talk to their communities.
The next training programme begins in the third week in February. If you are interested in finding out more; contact Megan.email@example.com or call 01422 431094.
The Engagement Champions programme is run by Voluntary Action Calderdale and funded by Calderdale Clinical Commissioning Group, responsible for planning and buying local health services in hospital and in the community.

The 30m long bridge will provide an important link for local people between Park Road and Elland Bridge Road. The bridge will be 1.5m wide and accessible for people with buggies, wheelchairs and bikes… read more…

Calderdale Council wants to help improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in Calderdale and has been guided by research and are proposing to make all Calderdale playground areas smoke-free.
One of the areas the Council is working hard on is to try and prevent young people from ever starting to smoke. The adoption of smoke free playgrounds would be voluntary and not legally enforceable; signs would be placed in the areas.
What do you think? Your views will determine whether the future of children’s play areas will be smoke free.
This consultation will run from Monday 18 to Sunday 31 January 2016 and can be accessed online here.
