Hansel and Gretel aren’t greedy; they just want a better life for themselves and their father but their lives are turned upside down when the occupant of a gingerbread cottage promises soft beds and delicious food, but it would appear that she has other plans!

Roald Dahl’s The Witches at Halifax Central Library

Join in for a spooky storytelling session based on the well-loved book by Roald Dahl or enjoy a special screening of the film.

Wednesday 28 October – From 2pm to 4pm – FREE
The Witches Film screening – Special screening of The Witches, based on Roald Dahl’s book and directed by Nicolas Roeg.

Thursday 29 October – From 2pm to 3pm – £3 per person (£2 with Passport to Leisure)
The Witches Storytelling – Listen to an excerpt from ‘The Witches’, make witchy crafts and a witch spotting guide!

All children must be accompanied by a parent/carer and Tickets must be purchased inadvance here where a small booking fee will apply.

Seussical the Musical at Halifax Playhouse

Icky, yucky, sticky stuff – October Half Term at Eureka!

This Halloween Eureka are taking a look at all things weird-science and gross so go along and find out about the ickier side of the human body in the Gross Lab… if you dare.

Lantern Making Workshop in Stainland

Make a lantern for The Stainland Christmas Lantern Parade at a workshop suitable for adults and accompanied children.

Costs are £12 for large lantern kits or £6 for small kits and if you can’t get to the workshop you can order a kit with everything you need to make your lantern at home.
