The Brunswick Centre’s Counselling Service is available in Calderdale and Kirklees for those who are:
- HIV positive
- A carer, partner or family member of someone who is HIV positive
- A gay, or bisexual man, or a man who has sex with men or is attracted to men
- A woman in a relationship with a man who has sex with or is attracted to men
We are seeking skilled and fully qualified counsellors or psychotherapists to join our existing team. This is an excellent opportunity to build a client portfolio, work with complex need and improve outcomes for some of the most vulnerable and marginalised people.
Ideal candidates will:
- Be qualified in their field
- Belong to their relevant professional body
- Have a portable Enhanced DBS Disclosure or willing to undertake one
- Have undertaken or willing to undertake Safeguarding training
- Be able to provide two professional references
- Be able to show proof of regular supervision
- Have a flexible approach and attitude
- Live or work in the Kirklees and/or Calderdale area
- Preferably have experience of working with these service user groups
In return he Brunswick Centre will:
- Provide a Service Level Agreement
- Pay a competitive sessional rate
- Provide clients
- Flexible working

Take an expedition into the Eureka! Jungle and take part in interactive story sessions, dress up as your favourite wild animals and have a go at creating your own jungle soundtrack and more.

In order to achieve its vision the partnership is carrying out a community consultation exercise with the objective of identifying current actions and issues and working towards developing a plan to tackle issues in the future.

Deadlines have now been removed for applications to Calderdale Council’s Repair and Renew grant for owners of residential and business premises affected by the Boxing Day Flood in the Calder Valley.

Visiting Tesco for your weekly shop or picking up a quick treat on your way home from work this weekend?
Why not take a moment whilst you’re there and vote for the Thornton Road Play Area Scheme which was successful in its application for funding to the Tesco ‘Bags of Help’.
The scheme is guaranteed a grant of at least 8k but with your vote this could be increased to 10k or 12k should the scheme come in first or second place.
