The PRG Support Project is based at Voluntary Action Calderdale and works with GP Surgeries to increase the involvement of patients.
The project wants you to think about your GP Surgery; how do you feel about it? Is there anything you would change about the way you receive care and treatment?
Saturday 6 February is National Libraries Day and Calderdale libraries are giving families the chance to celebrate by holding a range of free activities across the borough.

Quit16 launched this week showing the 16 cancers linked to smoking and while most of us know about the links to lung cancer, smoking is actually linked with 16 different cancers, including cancers of the mouth, stomach, kidney, bowel, liver, pancreas, ureter, oesophagus, cervix, bladder and ovaries.
In our region we have the highest adult smoking rates in the country…but there’s an excellent local stop smoking service where you’re five times more likely to stay quit with the help on offer.

Did you know that the tobacco industry makes a profit of over £4000 for every death caused by tobacco, which kills more than 100,000 people per year. Cancer Research UK has a petition for the tobacco industry to pay for the damage it causes… Sign it here…
These drop-in sessions are your opportunity to find out what the council and other organisations are doing to reduce the impact of flooding in the future, discuss future flood defence plans, share flood resilience information and receive details of grants available for people affected by flooding.
