GGT: The Great Get Together at Crow Wood Park July 3rd!

It’s on! The Great Get Together at Crow Wood Park on Sunday 3rd July!

Join this family friendly free event for a fun day out, full of many activities with something for everybody!

Take part in our fundraising races, the 2.5K fun run or the 10K Burner! These events have an entry fee starting from £6. Proceedings go to Bolton Brow PFA, one of the partner organisations producing the GGT.

A wide selection of food and drink will be on offer (including a barbeque, sandwiches, cakes, cream teas, coffee, cake and ice cream). Alternatively, bring your own picnic to the park – there’s plenty of grass!

The Great Get Together movement is inspired by the Jo Cox Foundation’s aim of bringing communities together. Our event is all about encouraging people to share and enjoy a relaxed day out in one of the loveliest parks in Calderdale.

Earn from £57.12 up to £66.64 per shift. Work when you want by picking shifts to suit your situation; full-time and part-time.

Shifts are 7am to 2pm and/or 4pm to 10pm 7 days a week.

·       No experience necessary!

·       £200 Bonus when you start your first shift

·       £9.52/Hr (£11/Hr Bank Holidays)

Dementia Friendly Sowerby Bridge Presents ‘The Last Memory’

Following on from the successful launch of the Dementia Friendly Sowerby Bridge group with the Rock’n’Roll night on Saturday 15 September, the group is presenting a short play about a father with dementia and his daughter “The Last Memory”.

The play by Alan Stockdill will be on Friday 5 October, 7:30pm at Sowerby Bridge Working Men’s Club, Bolton Brow HX6 2AL and will be followed by a short Question and Answer session. The Working Men’s Club is always open to non-members and all are welcome to this FREE event (although a donation of £5 would be welcome).
