How to Train Your Dragon – LEGO Bricks Workshop

Posted on Updated on

This workshop is open to all children aged 5+.

This fun workshop on Sunday 20 January 2019, 10:00am-12:00pm at Southowram Community Centre HX3 9QJ will provide children with plenty of themed model building during this exciting activity.

Beyond the village of Berk lies many far off lands and in some areas the elements – Water, Fire, Ice, and Earth – have influenced the Dragons which grew up there.

Our builders will use their imagination to raise their very own Dragon and create its home based on these elements.

During the workshop children will create models using unique Technic LEGO kits and exclusive building instructions.

Bricks4Kidz and the young builders will also use LEGO bricks to create, from their imagination, additional models to help tell this epic story.

The activities are also suitable for children who are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or awaiting a diagnosis. In addition, their siblings and peers are welcome to join in the activities. Check the event listing on www.brickworkshops.co.uk for the earlier start providing a quiet time.

The Building Better Calderdale Futures (BBCF) programme is funded by the Short Breaks initiative and subsidised by Calderdale Council.

The BBCF programme aims to support families of disabled children – primarily those with learning difficulties – with LEGO brick-based sessions delivered locally in the district.

During the session, the children will be provided with a safe environment to access a range of LEGO brick building activities which can be undertaken at their own pace. Experienced Bricks4Kidz instructors will be on hand to assist and support.

Notes

– Parents/Carers of children with autism must remain at the venue.

– A simple form must be completed by all parents/carers to allow us to provide data to Short Breaks. No personal data will be retained without consent.

Booking is essential through Eventbrite.
