On Friday 17 November, the long running BBC Radio 4 show ‘Any Questions’ will be coming to Calderdale, presented by Jonathan Dimbleby and featuring a panel of political, business and other figures from public life including Tracy Brabin MP; Owen Paterson MP; Marnie Millard, CEO of Nichols plc; and Madeleina Kay, an activist and artist.
The show will be broadcast live from The Brooksbank School in this, the 700th anniversary of the town being awarded its royal charter. Tickets – free of charge are available from the school on a first come first served basis. Panel members are still to be confirmed at this stage.
Friday 30 June from 6 pm. An exhibition of art, photography and writing by students from the school, followed by a celebratory concert featuring local musicians, including Elland Silver Band and Elland Male Voice Choir, headlined by Lizzie Jones.

A new community dance project for young people aged 14 – 21, focusing on enhancing their overall health and wellbeing. Physical skills such as strength, flexibility and co-ordination will be developed whilst vital aspects for wellbeing such as self esteem, motivation and concentration are enhanced.

- Floorwork – 7pm to 8pm
Classes will run weekly for 8 weeks starting Monday 9 January 2017 at the Brooksbank School, Victoria Road, Elland, HX5 0QG.
