Live music and comedy nights are back and Dark Matter Promotions have lined up a list of gigs you may be interested in.

  • 17th September Tensheds & The Sleazoids
A true innovator and a relentless pusher of boundaries, the multi-instrumentalist’s absolute refusal to pigeonhole his music sees him constantly evolving.

  • 8th October The Hanging Stars, Philip Quinn and Red Tin Dave
The Hanging Stars channel the sounds of The Byrds, Big Star and The Flying Burrito Brothers with hints of Mojave 3 and The Allah Las – mainlining the dying embers of the early 70s psychedelic folk and cosmic country scenes.

  • 27th November Gdansk81, Dog Daisies and Isaac Hughes-Dennis:
Gdansk81 are a post-punk 6 piece band with a unique sound and DIY approach that takes influence from the sounds and culture of a post-Thatcherite Manchester and Liverpool generation.
Events take place at the Golden Lion in Todmorden. Tickets can be purchased in advance from Skiddle (follow event’s facebook link) or on the door for a slightly higher cost.

The Golden Lion offers stunning Thai cuisine, you could make a night out of it!
