The main aim of this work is to try and improve mental health services in Calderdale.
At Insight Eating & Insight Health we want to hear your views about what support is needed for people with eating disorders/disordered eating in Calderdale.

As part of the Calderdale Community Mental Health Transformation work and in line with the NHS Long Term Plan to widen access to community provision around disordered eating for young adults, adults and older adults, Insight Eating & Insight Health has been commissioned to undertake a piece of mapping and scoping work across Calderdale between June and September 2022 with staff across statutory and voluntary sector services.
Eatwell and Livewell with Age UK
“Eatwell and Livewell” is a service that supports older people, identified as having nutritional issues, whose health may be suffering as a result of being at risk of becoming underweight.
Age UK provide the service working alongside health professionals, including doctors, nurses and dietitians.
In order to benefit from “Eatwell and Livewell”, people should be: –
- Aged 50 or over.
- Be underweight and identified as requiring support – or at potential risk due to frailty.
- Want to learn to eat more nourishing food in order to improve their health and quality of life.
