RSPCA Spooktacular Zombie Walkies Sunday October 30th!
The RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield and Bradford branch invites supporters to join them for their second annual Zombie Walkies this Halloween!
Zombie Walkies is an interactive trick or treat walk around Huddersfield Town Centre, with spooky stops and live acts along the way. Families, friends, and dogs are all welcome to take part in the walk on Sunday 30th October, which finishes at the Lawrence Batley Theatre with a fangtastic party.

The event, kindly sponsored by Huddersfield BID, starts at 2pm setting off from Market Avenue Shopping Arcade (just off New Street) and takes in various stops around the Town Centre. The walk is free to take part in, but participants are encouraged to raise sponsorship for the local RSPCA Animal Centre.
All Zombie Walkies walkers will receive a free goody bag and free human and dog treats along the route.
But the fun doesn’t stop there, the Lawrence Batley Theatre has kindly offered their courtyard as a party space for all those looking for some Halloween fun! Whether you take part in the Zombie Walkies or not, the party is open to all from 2pm and includes games, music, stalls, and karaoke!
All funds raised go towards the important animal rehabilitation, care and rehoming work of the local, independently funded RSPCA Centre.
Lauren Moore, Fundraising Manager said: “Zombie Walkies is a really fun way to celebrate Halloween and we’re excited to see the spooktastic walkers take part in this year’s event. We’d like to thank all the local businesses who are offering their premises as a ghoulicious pit stop and we hope the community will support them as they are supporting us by having for a bite to eat or drink before the event starts.
We’ve added an extra twist this year with a party at the Lawrence Batley Theatre where we’ll also be giving out prizes for the best dressed on the day, so let’s see how creative our community can be!’’
To sign up for all the Zombie Walkies information and receive your goody bag, please visit:www.rspcahalifaxhuddersfieldbradford.org.uk/zombie-walkies-2022/
or find out more on Facebook: Zombie Walkies 2022
The RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford and District Branch are a self-funded branch of the National RSPCA, responsible for raising money locally to support our animal welfare work. Last year the branch rehomed over 400 animals. Our main aim is to rehabilitate unwanted, abandoned and abused animals and find them loving, permanent homes.

We are going through a lot of change at the moment. We have a new Prime Minister. We have a new King. There is uncertainty about the cost of living crisis and how it will effect us.
Come along and join a group of like-minded people who want to see Calderdale thrive and be a great place to live and work at our membership event. You will feel supported and I’m pretty sure will leave having had a great time.
You’re invited to the official launch of our membership club. This is a monthly networking event for like minded people who support CFFC so we can connect people who care with local causes that matter. There will be open networking and a buffet lunch provided.
We are planning on having monthly events and will choose locations throughout the borough.
Things have changed a lot over the last few years. Everyone wants more bang for their buck when they spend money, and membership is no different. If you want to get your Return on Investment from being a member, we can help you with that. If you want to know what your membership is being spent on, we can help with that too. If you want to feel connected with your community and help Calderdale thrive, well we can help with that too.
Let’s cut to the chase, so how much will it cost you?
There are different levels of membership, you can choose the one that’s right for you:
Voluntary / Not for profit Organisations : £10 per year
Friend of the Foundation – Individuals or small businesses / sole traders:
£120 annually or £10 per month.
Foundation Club Members : £600 annually or £50 per month
There are many benefits to being a CFFC Member, including:
- Monthly networking events
- Certificate of membership (which looks good in your reception or office)
- Being part of a group of people who care about their community and want to be part of something bigger making a difference
- Supporting the Foundation so we can give out grants and continue our role to connect people and create a positive impact in our community in the 5 areas we have as priorities
- The opportunity to show your support for an issue you care about
- Invited to our AGM
- The opportunity to engage with the issues you care about and be connected with volunteering or fundraising opportunities
- Logo to use on your website, email signature, and social media
- Invite to social events
- Receive our Annual Report
- 1 to 1 meeting so we can connect and introduce you to people
- Listed in our online directory
100% of every membership fee goes towards making grants for one of the priorities you choose.

If you are a Foundation Club member, your membership fee is £600 so £1200 will go towards grants and if you are a Friend of the Foundation, your membership fee is £120 so £240 will go towards making grants.

This summer, we are relaunching our membership club. We held a successful event last month at Hebden Bridge Town Hall where 40+ like minded people who also support CFFC came together to network.
We are planning on having monthly events to bring people together and connect and will move venue each month to spread the events throughout the borough.
If you haven’t already booked your place, I’m inviting you to come and join us at this free event and to find out more about supporting us so that we can support Not-for-Profit Organisations in Calderdale. There will be a couple of short speeches, but in the main it’s open networking so you can get to know other members over a cuppa and a biscuit.
