Happy Days Cycles
Advance warning of a cycling challenge taking place on Saturday 14 July. Starting from the Happy Days Cycles and Cafe, Town Hall Street, Sowerby Bridge this is a fully self supported gravel event around Huddersfield. Using tracks and quiet lanes, the route has roughly 10,000ft of climbing, 90 miles in length and is a real test. (Better start training now!)
There are no feed zones, no sign posts, you are on your own. There is a GPS track for all riders which will be sent out before the start.
The route uses high, exposed moorland, valley bottoms and everything inbetween. Suitable for gravel bikes and hardtail MTB’s. The route is roughly 50/50 road/offroad
Free tea/instant coffee at start and finish, plus a free pasta dish at the finish.
Suggested donation is £10 and you can register with Eventbrite.
Happy Days Cycles and Cafe in Sowerby Bridge welcome volunteers who can help with the bicycle shop, cafe and workshop in a variety of roles including:
- Shop floor assistants
- Bike Mechanics
- General Assistants
If you think that you could help in any of these areas then please contact the store or get in touch with the project manager Angela by emailing email@example.com
