Have your say on Calderdale’s Cultural Strategy

Posted on Updated on

Now is the last chance to have your say in shaping our ambition for Culture in Calderdale.

Our Cultural Strategy will set out a borough-wide commitment, investing in and supporting Culture and the role that it plays in supporting wider economic, social and environment strategies. It is also valuable for the borough and individual organisations in helping to attract external investment into Calderdale. This might be to improve specific cultural venues, deliver borough-wide and year long programmes such as a ‘Year of Culture’ in 2024 and developing Calderdale as a strong tourism destination. We are consulting on Calderdale’s proposed draft Cultural Strategy. We welcome your comments on the draft vision, priorities and themes outlined within the draft strategy to inform and drive investment.

Have your say on plans for Elland Station and access

Posted on

Calderdale Council is working with the West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) on developing plans to build a new rail station in Elland and they would love to hear your feedback on the latest proposals.

Following an initial public engagement In summer 2018, a series of improvements have been made to enhance the station itself and walking and cycling access to the new station from Elland and the wider area. The public consultation is now live and will run until midnight on 16 August. The latest designs and a feedback questionnaire can be found on WYCA’s ‘Your Voice page’ here https://www.yourvoice.westyorks-ca.gov.uk/elland2020

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 restrictions, public drop-in sessions for this engagement are not possible, however, if you would like to talk to a member of the WYCA project team about the proposals before you submit your feedback you can contact them via the methods below. You should also contact WYCA if you require any of this information in an alternative format e.g. braille.

Via email: yourvoice@westyorks-ca.gov.uk

Via phone: 0113 245 7676

Via post: Freepost CONSULTATION TEAM (WYCA)*

Thank you for your interest in the scheme and hope you find the proposals interesting.
