Friends of St Matthew’s Churchyard, Annual General Meeting

Posted on Updated on

The Friends of St Matthew’s Churchyard, Lightcliffe Annual General Meeting takes place at St Matthew’s Parish Church on Wakefield Road on Tuesday 7 February at 7.30pm.

We are a community volunteer group working with the church to restore its churchyard which dates from 1670. Anyone who looks across at its iconic tower will have noticed dramatic improvements over the last 3 to 4 years helped by grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Council. We are now able to locate the majority of the graves of the 11,000 who have been buried here.

Please come along and support us at this meeting to find out what we are doing or view www.lightcliffechurchyard.org.uk
