Insight Healthcare talking therapies is a free and confidential service, commissioned by the NHS, and is available to anyone aged 18+ and registered with a Calderdale GP.
They can accept referrals in the following ways:

Once they have received the referral, a member of the administration team will contact you to arrange an appointment. Please note that it is usual policy to withhold telephone numbers when you are called.
Insight Healthcare is holding an Open Day on Tuesday 11 December, 1:30pm-3:30pm at their building at 15-17 Carlton Street, Halifax HX1 2AL. This is a chance to find out about the background of the service and how to refer.
Insight Healthcare Calderdale is a not for profit organisation and an experienced provider of free talking therapy services on behalf of the NHS. They are able to help those who are registered with a GP in Calderdale who are aged 18 and over. This service provides help to people experiencing common difficulties such as: low mood, depression, anxiety, stress, panic, anger, phobias, trauma, bereavement, loss, relationship difficulties and family problems.
Join an introduction to basic CBT session and find out how to access useful self-help materials and other resources. CPD certificates can be made available.
Light refreshments will be available. As places are limited, places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis by registering through Eventbrite.

Thursday 19 May marks the launch of a search for local Wellbeing Heroes, who are to be honoured at the Calderdale Wellbeing Heroes Awards ceremony on 10 October 2016. The ceremony is to be hosted by Insight Healthcare, in celebration of World Mental Health Day.
Is there someone in your life who helped you in your time of need? Someone who encourages you to do the things that are good for you, reminds you that you are not alone, or listens to you when you need them to? Wellbeing Heroes Awards wants your nomination!
You can nominate someone who has helped you in any way, no matter how big or small. It could be a family member, friend, colleague, or a professional who has made a difference to your wellbeing. Winners will receive an award and prizes during the ceremony in October. The deadline for nominations is Friday 29 July 2016.
The Calderdale Wellbeing Heroes Awards will take place to mark World Mental Health Day, which is celebrated on 10 October each year. Nomination forms can be collected from Insight Healthcare’s Calderdale service or downloaded here. More information about the event will be released nearer the time.
Everyone goes through difficult times and sometimes our problems affect our day-to-day lives and we feel that we can’t cope. Each year, nearly a quarter of us have difficulties with common psychological problems such as anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, stress, trauma, phobias, and anger, as well as problems with regards to relationships, work, or debt. If you are in this situation, you are not alone.
Insight Healthcare provides free and confidential NHS talking therapy services across the country. These therapies can help you understand what is happening to you, help you work through your difficult feelings, and develop strategies for coping better. Calderdale’s service is available to anyone who is aged 18 or over and registered with a Calderdale GP.
This workshop is designed to help people who:
- Experience anxiety
- Struggle to manage stress
- Experience panic attacks
- Experience phobias
- Worry excessively
The workshop will help you understand how stress and anxiety may be triggered and how you can cope when you experience anxiety. It also includes strategies to help with poor sleep and the physical symptoms of anxiety.
