Calderdale Cares Careers recruitment fair Calderdale Employment Hub join forces with Welcome Independent living to host the first Calderdale Cares Careers event of 2023. This career’s fair is open to job seekers, secondary schools, and further education students from across Calderdale to explore career opportunities in the Health & Social Care sector. The event will allow people to learn about career options directly from employers and professionals. In addition, this event will showcase the educational pathways and explain the skills needed to pursue different careers in the sector. The event will promote a range of careers linked to the care sector. There will also be an opportunity to meet employers, get support with interviews, CV and apply for live vacancies. 📖 You must be patient and kind with the ability to accept a couple of interruptions during story time.

🦖 The preferred candidate must have a good sense of humour and a good imagination, if a child requests that you are a dinosaur, you will be the best roar-some dinosaur you can be!

🦸‍♀️ Knowledge of aliens, superheroes and children’s characters would be advantageous.

👀 You must feel comfortable telling everybody in the same room as you that you are going to the bathroom. You must also be prepared to leave the building feeling comfortable with unknown substances on your clothing.

😘 And finally you must be prepared to distribute hugs when needed, ensuring children feel special and loved.

North Halifax Partnership Sure Start Children’s Centres are excited to be recruiting for qualified and unqualified early years practitioners to work in our Children’s Centres in Calderdale. A variety of day/hours are currently available.

NHP Sure Start Children’s Centres have been in Calderdale since 2014 and now have a contract in place until March 2022. They are committed to supporting communities to provide high quality learning opportunities for children and parents/carers and they are invested in developing a strong passionate staff team that work with partners to ensure the best outcomes.

Early Years Practitioner Plus

This post is designed to attract qualified and experienced practitioners that are passionate about helping children develop to their full potential. This role will have a lead area for the candidate to develop within the centre and within the wider team, such as speech and language, SEN, safeguarding.

Early Years Practitioner

This post is designed to attract newly qualified and unqualified staff, staff returning to childcare following a break and staff wanting to get into this line of work. You will be working with children and their families to support them to develop and have the best start in life.

All the posts have an attractive annual leave package including a period of closure at Christmas, additional leave for 5 years’ service, attendance rewards and 2 training days a year. There are multiple training opportunities and internal career progression routes within the different departments of the organisation.

Brighouse & Elland Libraries Works Better Assisted Job Search Sessions
