Works Better is partly funded through the European Social Fund and delivered through a collaboration of six partners, including Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield Councils. The programme aims to help people who want to get back into work overcome the barriers which are stopping them – and also to support employers with suitable vacancies to access this potential source of employees. Creative Support are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated senior support worker to assist the Registered Manager in the smooth management and provision of their supported living service for people with learning disabilities in Brighouse. Working with a dedicated team of support workers, you will be responsible for the day to day provision of support to 5 individuals.

You will be required to co-ordinate the implementation of person centred support plans to ensure people are supported to have full and meaningful lives. You will monitor and review service delivery ensuring all support is delivered to exacting standards. You must be able to demonstrate an ability to work in partnership with service users, their families and other professionals.

You will have experience of working with people with learning disabilities and have a relevant qualification in health/ social care. Previous experience of supervising a staff team would be an advantage.

The post requires you to work flexibly and includes evening and weekend work and occasional sleep- in duties.

The School requires a Housekeeping Assistant to join the housekeeping team and part of the job includes laundry and sewing skills using an industrial machine.

The successful applicant could be expected to work on the Schools’ directed days and may also be required to work up to two weekends per year if needed. You should be able to support your application with proof of relevant experience.
