Lead the Way Art Group Volunteer Opportunity
What does the group do?
The group meets once a week, on a Thursday, 10am-12pm at Lower Valley Day Services, Rastrick.
The group is open to all abilities and is fully accessible.
The group create various artwork during the sessions and then take it home.
What is the role?
As a volunteer you will support people attending the group with whatever artwork they are making at the session, along with the day to day running of the group.
What kind of volunteer are they looking for?
- Someone who is friendly
- Someone who is patient
- Someone who enjoys working with a group of people
- Someone who has a general interest in making things/art
- Someone who is confident working with people who have varying abilities and needs. All people attending, who have additional needs, come with their own support staff.
- Someone who likes to have fun!
How will you be supported?
You will be supported at the group by a member of staff from Lead the Way.
Support such as supervision will be carried out by the line manager.
All your travel expenses to and from the group will be covered by Lead the Way on production of a receipt, bus ticket etc.
How do you become a volunteer?

The cost is just £2.50 per session including refreshments.

Lead The Way are starting an exciting new group for adults with a learning disability and working with Hoot Creative Arts to provide 10 sessions allowing people to explore their creative side, meet new friends and have fun.
Starting on Thursday 1 October 2015 – From 10am to 12noon
