5th International Women’s Day Celebrations 2020 -The WomenCentre
The WomenCentre invite you to the Northern Quarter in Huddersfield for an evening celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
Come join us on this free event, including food, talk and a musical event showcasing local female talent, as well as an after party!
This is a charity event and all performers will be giving their time for free. There is no fee on the door but donations will be ecouraged & gratefully received. They will then proceed to the Huddersfield WomenCentre – a fabulous organisation that supports mental health wellbeing of women in Kirklees.

RSPCA Halifax and Huddersfield will be having a Motown Night at Berties in Elland with a live DJ playing all the best Soul and Motown favourites with a little bit of funk mixed in for good measure!
This is a great opportunity for a night out with your friends, family or colleagues to start the bank holiday weekend off in style. There will be plenty of entertainment on the night with optional games and competitions to help raise vital funds for your local RSPCA branch.

Bands wanted to perform at the Halifax Oxjam – 15 October
Bands are required to perform at the Halifax Oxjam Music Festival… An all day multi-venue event where music fans can purchase a wristband and visit any of the participating venues – just like any other festival.
From rock to rap, dance to classical your talent is wanted on Saturday 15 October

What’s on at the Victoria Theatre
Help raise money for Calderdale flood relief whilst seeing a preview screening of the new season of Happy Valley at An Evening with Happy Valley, 5 February. Includes a Q&A with Sally Wainwright and selected cast.
Other highlights include a spectacular new production of the classic opera Madam Butterfly from the Russian State Opera House on 6 February, and laugh-tacular comedy from Stewart Francis – Pun Gent on 13 February.
Greetland Academy evening classes – January 2016
Greetland Academy has confirmed evening classes starting in January 2016 for 6 weeks learn to play the Ukulele or start Latin American dancing.
Starting Wednesday 6 January – 6.30pm to 7.30pm
Learn to play the Ukulele with the opportunity to hire an instrument for the 6 weeks. £4 per session.
Starting Thursday 7 January – 6.45pm to 7.45pm
Get involved and have fun whilst you learn Latin American dancing. £4 per session.
