Free dance & movement workshop with Curious Motion October 27
Wednesday 27 October | 10am – 12pm
Orangebox Youth Centre, 1 Blackledge, Halifax HX1 1AF
We have a fun and accessible dance and movement workshop for young people coming up in half term! An introduction to dance through fun sequences and activities, followed by time to create your own ideas and find out how you like to move!
The first half of the session will involve exploring some phrases and sequences inspired by contemporary dance, focusing on feeling energised and building confidence. Then, participants will explore a range of fun creative tasks to create their own ideas, finishing with combining their ideas together for a celebration of their achievements through a short group choreography.

Let’s Grow Comes to Halifax!
Wednesday 27th & Thursday 28th October 2021
at Halifax Borough Market
NEW from the co-creator of the CBeebies, award winning TV show, ‘Mr. Bloom’s Nursery’
‘Let’s Grow’ is coming to the heart of Halifax this half term, transforming spaces in its historic Borough Market. The ‘Let’s Grow’ pop-up Allotment is free to explore, with its charming family of baby fruits and vegetables to meet, along with their friendly Vegetable Nannies. There’ll be street art games to play, make & take family workshops, a treasure trail to follow and you can even help urban street artists to transform some unused market stalls into giant pieces of art!

We have some awesome activity sessions kicking off on Monday 25th October, from potion making to 3D character creations, boxing to yoga, cricket to cosmetic making, we have pulled out all the stops and partnered with some awesome local organisations to give all young people in Calderdale the opportunity to try something new this half term!

Sparks! Half Term Fun – Spooky Shibden
Join us for
spooky stories around Shibden Hall and then make a spooky decoration for your own house onThursday 27 October from 11am to 12pm, 1pm to 2pm and 2pm to 3pm.

Seussical the Musical at Halifax Playhouse
Seussical the Musical brings to life all your favourite Dr. Seuss characters, including the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Amazing Mayzie and many more, weaving them together in a story of friendship, loyalty and love, as you follow Horton on his quest to save the Who’s of Whoville.

Sparks! Half Term Fun, Spooky Mobiles
Join a spooky character for scary stories and even create your own spooky mobile at Bankfield Museum.
On Wednesday 28 October 2015 at the following times:

Costs just £3.50 per child or £2.50 for Passport to Leisure.
Icky, yucky, sticky stuff – October Half Term at Eureka!
This Halloween Eureka are taking a look at all things weird-science and gross so go along and find out about the ickier side of the human body in the Gross Lab… if you dare.

A Creepy Crafty Experience at The Mouse House!
Join in this Half Term for a creepy crafty experience at The Mouse House Pottery Company! With over 300 activities to choose from including Pottery Painting, Mouse Mud creations, paint your own Fairy Door, Decopatch, Scrabble Art & Tote bag decorating!
