Calderdale 2023 Apprenticeship Event March 8th at the Shay

C+K are organising the Calderdale 2023 Apprenticeship event, taking place on Wednesday 8th March 2023 from 5-8pm at The Shay Stadium, Halifax. This annual event provides visitors with the opportunity to talk to employers, colleges, and apprenticeship providers to find out about their vacancies and company information.

Visitors do not need to book to attend and can turn up anytime between 5-8pm on the 8th March.

Students and their parents/carers will be able to talk to exhibitors and current apprentices. They will be able to access information, leaflets, details of live vacancies and C+K Careers advisers will be on hand to give individual advice and guidance.  All students are encouraged to attend, even if they have an idea of their future plans.

Information to help schools to promote the event to their students has been sent into school and all Year 11 students in Calderdale have received an email inviting them to the event.

Event sponsors include Calderdale College, Nufarm and Sonoco Alcore. Other exhibitors include: ALS Environmental, Calderdale Council, Covea Insurance, Ferno UK, FMG, Halifax Opportunities Trust, Lubrizol, Royal Airforce, Walter Dawson & Son and many more.

Calderdale Cares Careers recruitment fair Calderdale Employment Hub join forces with Welcome Independent living to host the first Calderdale Cares Careers event of 2023. This career’s fair is open to job seekers, secondary schools, and further education students from across Calderdale to explore career opportunities in the Health & Social Care sector. Local Charity Halifax Opportunities Trust to Host Employment and Careers Event to Unlock Opportunities and Connect Employers with Potential Candidates

Halifax Opportunities Trust (HOT) is hosting an Opportunities Event at its social enterprise business hub, Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre, on Thursday 15th September 2022, to help local people take the next step on their employment or learning journey.

The HOT Opportunities Event will provide information on all the opportunities available through the Trust, as well as hosting a market place for local employers to discuss their industry and the roles they have available. The event will offer guidance to anyone in the local community who is looking for support or advice in taking their next step.

Whether it’s unemployed people seeking employment opportunities, young people or school leavers looking to reach their career aspirations, or those currently in employment focused on professional growth or career development, the Trust will meet these needs by showcasing opportunities in a range of industries, areas and roles.

Whether just starting out or looking for a new challenge, HOT’s Employment, Apprenticeships, Central and Early Years teams will be at hand to provide informed advice on how attendees can navigate and reach their aspirations.

Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust, Leeds & Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and the South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust have announced they will be jointly delivering a virtual careers fair.  The event is being supported by the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership and a wide range of external partners who work in the field of mental health, learning disabilities and autism.

The free online event will be delivered on 30 June 2022 11am – 7pm.

The event will provide people looking for jobs and volunteering roles with and exciting opportunity to:

  • find out about the wide range of jobs on offer
  • hear directly from Trust staff about what it is like to work in mental health, autism and learning disability roles
  • apply on the day for jobs and volunteering roles.

People can attend the event conveniently from any location as it will be accessible through mobile devices.

There will be a range of current open positions available through the virtual career fair, including both clinical and non-clinical roles, at a range of salary levels.  The event programme also includes seminars, aimed at the graduate and college leavers audience.
