Paws for a cause with the local RSPCA and the Upper George Hotel November 26
THE RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford & District branch are looking forward to their Paws for a Cause event with the Upper George Hotel & Pub in Halifax (HX1 1TT) this Saturday 26th November from 12-4pm.
Lauren Moore, Fundraising Manager said “We’ve got lots of canine-themed fun planned for the day, including a mini fun dog show, doggy artwork sessions, pass the paw-cel and more!
We’re really happy our friends at the Upper George Hotel are supporting us as we approach the festive season.
All funds raised will directly help our Animal Centre on Wade Street, so we really hope you and your four-legged friends can join us!”

Our main aim is to rehabilitate unwanted, abandoned and abused animals and find them loving, permanent homes. We rely on public donations and the generosity of our local community to keep the doors of our animal centre open.”
Christmas Fair at the Space @ Field Lane November 26th
The Space will be holding their Christmas Fair on Saturday 26th November from 12pm – 4pm.
Admission is free and everyone is invited!
There will be stalls with crafts, cakes, gifts and so much more!
The centre’s cafe will be open to offer cold and hot drinks.

Carers Rights Day Event November 25 with Making Space
The event is taking place on Friday 25th November 10am-12.30pm at Brighouse Central Methodist Church. The event is a market place information and advice session and our theme is planning for the future.
We will have stalls from solicitors, funeral directors, home care providers, gateway to care and much more.
Carers can access both refreshments and a warm lunch on the day.
Carers do not need to book.
We would also welcome professionals to attend.

Beaumont Bark! Local RSPCA hosts annual Bank Holiday Dog Show!
Local RSPCA back in Beaumont Park for Bank Holiday Dog Show!

The Bank Holiday Monday brings Beaumont Barks back to Beaumont Park Huddersfield. The annual event is hosted by RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford and District branch and Friends of Beaumont Park, with a 10 class fun dog show, stalls, live music and food.


The event, taking place on Monday 29th August, has fun for all the family with dog show classes including Posh Paws and Waggiest Tail, local trade stalls and live music in the bandstand. A perfect way to spend your Bank Holiday Monday! The activities start from 12pm – 4pm in the beautiful surroundings of Beaumont Park.
Lauren Moore, Fundraising Manager said “ We love working with the Friends of Beaumont Park to bring this fun family day out to Huddersfield! It’s a great way to spend your bank holiday, helping us raise vital funds for our Animal Centre whilst having fun with our local community and supporters!”

The local rehoming centre relies on public donations and the generosity of its local community to keep the doors of their animal centre open. The branch care for cats, dogs and small animals and have successfully rehomed 37 dogs, 81 cats and 27 small animals so far this year.
Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve Free Open Day August 6th
Don’t forget the Free Open Day at the Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve this Saturday 6th of August from 10am to 4pm.
Meet best selling author M.G.Leonard, winner of the 2022 ‘Crimefest’ children’s crime novel award for her book called ‘Twitch’ also winner of the Sainsbury’s 2021 book award, based on her experiences at Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve. You will have the opportunity to buy a signed copy of her book.
There will be a birds of prey display, guided walks, pond dipping, face painting, stalls, raffles and refreshments.

Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve Free Open Day August 6th
Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve and Wildlife Group invite you to their open day on Saturday 6th of August from 10am to 4pm.
Meet best selling author M.G.Leonard, winner of the 2022 ‘Crimefest’ children’s crime novel award for her book called ‘Twitch’ and buy a signed copy of her book.
Other celebrities include birds of prey and all the bugs and creepy crawlies you can spot!
There will be guided walks, pond dipping, face painting, stalls, raffles and refreshments.

Brighouse Charity Gala June 25th
The Annual Brighouse Charity Gala will take place on Saturday 25th June from 12pm.
It will start with the float parade which will conclude at Wellholme park.
There will be family friendly entertainment, stalls, food and music. Many charities will have their stalls to provide information on what services they provide.
Live performances from local artists have been confirmed through Creative Music promising this to be a sizzling event!
The event is organised and run by local charities and volunteers.

64th Halifax Charity Gala Saturday 11th June
The 64th Halifax Charity Gala will take place on Manor Heath Park on Saturday 11th of June with the Grand Parade Procession starting from Eureka.
There will be music, food stalls, fun fair and several stalls where charitable organisations can introduce themselves to you. You never know, there may be volunteering opportunities for you too!
Tickets are available to buy now. Purchase before the event to buy one, get a second half price!

Features haven’t been announced yet, other than the procession parade that starts the gala, leaving at 11:30am from Eureka!

Elland Spring Craft Fair May 22 at Working Mens Club
Come to the Spring Craft Fair on Sunday the 22nd of May at Elland Working Men’s Club to enjoy a fun afternoon of arts, crafts, stalls and delicious food!
