The VSI Alliance is holding an Open Day at the Resource Centre, 8b Hall Street, HX1 5AY on Monday 23rd January between 1 and 6pm.

The event is designed to showcase the work of the VCSE sector in Calderdale and highlight vacancies, volunteering opportunities and trusteeships that are available throughout the sector.

This event may be a good opportunity to support guests with the completion of job applications for vacancies at VAC as well as holding first interviews where appropriate.  If you are interested as an organisation in following this approach, please contact VSI and to ensure that there is space available for you to do this.

Express interest in becoming the Volunteers’ Week Pin Badge Designer by March 31

For Volunteers’ Week 2021, we wanted to do something special to thank the volunteers of Calderdale by creating the first Volunteers’ Week pin badge – and who doesn’t love a pin badge?

Thanks to the artistic flair of Memory Lane Cafe volunteer, Georgia, we designed a glow-in-the-dark pin badge that was given to Calderdale volunteers as a thank you for their hard work and dedication, especially during such a difficult year. This small token of big appreciation went down so well last year that we would like to do it again!  All we need is this year’s designer! We are looking for a local volunteer who has a love for design/art/illustration and would be up for co-creating our next pin badge, seeing them proudly displayed on volunteers’ coats around the borough!

If you would like to nominate one of your volunteers to help create the 2022 Volunteers’ Week pin badge, please email emma.worsley@cvac.org.uk  by Thursday 31st March 2022.

Thursday 9th December 2021

from 3.00pm.

The meeting will be held via Zoom video conferencing on this occasion and we would be delighted if you could join us. To register your attendance or apologies, please email membership@cvac.org.uk. We will reflect on our work during 2020/21 but predominantly we will be looking forward to sharing our plans for 2022 and beyond with a view to ensuring we continue to support and advocate for our members and our sector by creating opportunities and solutions so we can all keep improving local lives. We will also be introducing our redesigned membership offer.  The membership offer has been reviewed over the past year to ensure it is responsive and supportive of the sectors needs both now and in the future.  After a period of consultation with current member and non-member organisations, we have developed a scalable offer that can grow year on year, supporting and nurturing a strong, unified membership across Calderdale and Kirklees.
